Cherry Bomb Mufflers have been around for quite a while.  The first was introduced in 1968 by the Maremont Corporation.  They quickly became a distinct icon of American muscle cars, because their affordable price and throaty sound made them very desirable.  With their easy installation and universal sizes there are Cherry Bomb mufflers for nearly every vehicle on the road.

Cherry Bomb mufflers are easily distinguished by their bright red straight appearance.  Their core is about 2’ long, and is considered a straight pipe muffler.  They are lined with a baffled channel of fiberglass.  This channel helps the cherry bomb mufflers produce their very distinctive, unmistakable, one-of-a-kind throaty sound.  The straight through designs of cherry bomb mufflers provides for very little backpressure, which can help high performance engines notice a greater improvement in performance as they allow the engine to breath better.

In addition to the original Cherry Bomb mufflers' glasspack offered by Maremont, IMCO/Maremont, the current parent compay, now offers five other cherry bomb mufflers.  These include the Therry Bomb Pro, Cherry Bomb Elite, Cherry Bomb Extreme, Cherry Bomb Turbo, and the company's top-of-the-line, most technologically advanced product, the Cherry Bomb Vortex.  Each of these new cherry bomb mufflers are created with their own unique, patented designs that provide increased horsepower and their own characteristic high performance sounds.
